TAS Energy wins the 2012 Excellence in Renewable Energy Award for Geothermal Project of the Year at the Renewable Energy World conference. The Excellence in Renewable Energy Awards recognize the best companies, people, and projects in the North American renewable energy industry and represent abilities that signify excellence in five technologies: Solar, Wind, Biomass, Geothermal, and Hydro. Barber-Nichols teamed with TAS Energy to develop a Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) family of Organic Ranking Cycle (ORC) turbines; one of which is used on this project. These turbines are efficient, economical, rapidly deployable and maximizes a projects return on investment.
