BARBER-NICHOLS, INC. TO SHOWCASE TURBOPUMP DESIGN AND MANUFACTURE CAPABILITIES AT THE 41ST ANNUAL JOINT PROPULSION CONFERENCE & EXHIBIT

TurbopumpArvada, CO: June 27, 2005 -- Barber-Nichols, Inc. (BNI) will be showcasing its turbopump design and manufacturing capabilities at the 41st Annual AIAA/ASME/SAE/ASEE Joint Propulsion Conference & Exhibit. The event is taking place at the Tucson Convention Center on July 10th through the 13th; BNI will be in Booth Number 802 by the main entrance.

This year's Joint Propulsion Conference theme will be "Propulsion Technology Enabling Tomorrow's Applications." On this 65th anniversary of the development of the air breathing turbojet, the conference will focus on "further advances in aviation through the application of advanced technologies for air breathing, rocket, and electric propulsion with propulsion technology enabling tomorrow's applications."

Barber-Nichols has designed and manufactured more new liquid rocket engine turbopumps in the last ten years than any other U.S. company. Innovative designs and the use of advanced materials drive the development process.  As a result, turnaround time is quick and the final product is lightweight, reliable, and economical.  Additional products include pumps, fans, electrical power generation systems, and propellant densification systems for space flight.  Customers include NASA, the U.S. Military, and private industry.
